
I adore this bench made by Etsy seller JackRabbit.
The designer crocheted hundreds (369, to be exact) of little “weiners” (heehee) from donated recycled sweaters that she dyed with a natural mix of madder and hibiscus flowers.
She then used the stuffing from and old couch found on the street to stuff the weiners and used a discarded Ikea Lack table as the base. Even the wheels are found, originally from a filing cabinet.
What an amazing example of upcycling!

It looks even more amazing in person! She had it with her at the Maker Faire recently in California…it was pretty awesome!
This is really beautiful, I love the other crochet pieces she makes too.
I would love to have seen it in person, this is recycling at its best!
