I’m having a hard time motivating myself this week. The million of deadlines of the past two weeks have come and gone and most of what I have left to do is self-imposed, the hardest of deadlines to follow.
So far today, my most productive moment came when I moved all of my table linens out to the kitchen and (finally) put away our winter hats and gloves. Before I start getting hooked on soap operas, I think I need to give myself a project.
I have always wanted to do a color week on my blog and I think it’s a good time to start. The weather’s nice, there’s lots of color blooming outside and all the ladies in my neighborhood have busted out their retro summer dresses.
I would love it if a bunch of other bloggers wanted to join in!
Since the week is already half over, let’s start next week (Monday July 2nd)
Here is the color schedule:
Monday: Red (and Pink)
Tuesday: Green
Wednesday: Yellow
Thursday: Orange
Friday: Blue and Purple
The rules are simple: Everyday, post one or many pictures corresponding to the days color on your blog. I, of course, am going to do it too! They can be pictures you took or ones from magazines or other blogs that are inspiring to you. Don’t worry if you miss a day; I’m not grading you.
Comment if you are interested so I can keep track. At the end of the week, I would love to do a little color recap featuring some of your photos as well.

Awww, what fun! My parents will be coming from Iowa to visit DC from exactly Monday to Friday — maybe I’ll play “scavenger hunt” and look for each day’s color while we’re out on the town.
I’m pretty new to the whole blogging thing and have never done a group project before…. That makes everything doubly exciting! Would love to participate!

Kayte! What a great idea. Summer is the perfect time to be thinking of color photography. The colors are so bright and saturated…clothes, flowers, fruits…endless ideas. I posted green today, and looking for yellow. . .orange…and blues..
