It’s no secret that I adore patterns (sometimes I like nothing better than to stare lovingly at my fabric collection) so you can imagine how excited I was to score these vintage feedsack fabrics on Ebay.

I started buying feedsack fabrics a few years ago because I love the texture of the cotton and the [...]

I almost fainted when I saw this spread in the new issue of Elle Decoration UK.

I love the mix of patterns and furniture style and the graphic treatment of so many different florals. The one strip of wallpaper on the wall is really cool too-and cheap! You only need to get a little bit! The [...]

I love how these humble fruits were transformed into works of art simply by cutting and slicing beautiful shapes out of them.

From a very old Wallpaper magazine.

Ok, that was admittedly pretty corny. What I really wanted to tell you is that I just put these new pear pincushions up on Etsy. Of course, you don’t have to use them as pincushions. They can just be felt pears.

After I posted about my new skirt, I remembered that I never shared any pictures of the undies I appliquéd for Mr. Loveforever!

Lately, I just want to decorate every little inch of my clothing (and, apparently, the mr’s too!). Death to boring undies!
Please excuse me for the sloppy photos- these were taken in secret [...]

I have been so busy this month that I completely forgot to post about the spring issue of Cutting Edge, a really cool sewing magazine.

I styled a bunch of the photos in this issue, including the cover shot! There are some really great projects for both fashion and home decorating at every skill level. And [...]

I love appliqué and it i so, so much easier with Steam-a-Seam, a fusible webbing I found through my favorite podcast Craftypod. I know that sounded so much like an ad but I swear, [...]

A friend lent me this Japanese craft book called, (from what I can tell) A Hint for Bringing Memories Into Shape and I had to share!
I love the aesthetic of these new craft books: a mix of Japanese simplicity, a rustic Scandinavian vibe and a healthy dose of deconstruction. Just look at the details [...]

Swedish artist Ulrika Erdes adorns train and bus seats with her lovely little cross-stitched designs. She encourages others to try their hand at public stitching and will even send a free embroidery kit so you can start working on beautifying your town’s public transportation (it can’t hurt really). Too bad the New York subway has [...]

I’m not sure how many of you readers live near North Adams, Massachusetts but it is the home of MassMoCA, one of my favorite museums ever and there is an amazing installation that opened there this last weekend, made of , you guessed it, 875,000,000 grains of rice.
The installation, Of All the People in the [...]
