Artist Elena Columbo’s vacation home living room is so vibrant with color! I love the crazy lacquered logs and the light blue mixed with red. Image from Blueprint Magazine
Caroline Irving, Vogue Living’s style editor really has a way with pattern and color mixing so it’s no surprise that she is coming out with her own [...]

Jade from Craving Anthropologie tagged me for this meme!
I did a similar one a few months ago but, since I never tire of talking about myself (mostly kidding), I’ll pick up where I left off.
Here’s what you do: Players list 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before [...]

Etsy Labs has a great tutorial for making a beanbag chair that looks just like the iconic tomato pincushion.
I love this photo; it’s so surreal.

for my trusty laptop! I made this laptop sleeve just in time for our cross-country trip (my first trip with my laptop, a momentous occasion!) to Seattle and Portland. It suits me much better than one of those techie laptop sleeves and is cushy and quilty enough to protect my new baby.

I got back into Brooklyn early this morning after a sleepless red-eye flight from Sea-Tac airport. Superbuzzy also has a Flickr group where you can show off all [...]

Here are a few more pictures of my adventures in Portland. I never take enough pictures so this time I kept my camera at the ready. Most of these are pictures of buildings, from oddly colorful warehouses to brightly painted bungalows.

After Mr. Loveforever’s 204 mile bike trip from Seattle to Portland he needed a little R & R, so we spent the night in Edgefield, one of the many McMenamans brothers hotels/adult playgrounds, just outside of Portland.
Edgefield was once the Multnomah County Poor Farm and residents operated a self-sufficient environment, raising hogs, poultry, growing [...]

I was lucky enough to spend this last Saturday with Susan And Diane on their so-good-it-should-be-patented Portland Crafty Tour!
Our first stop was Cool Cottons, a new fabric store located in a pretty, warm bungalow. The bolts of colorful cotton fabrics are housed in wood built-ins in different rooms of the house and are categorized by [...]
